NEWS ROUNDUP

DISPOSITION: CyrusOne sells 80,000-SF site for $2.3 million. CyrusOne’s data center site at 4800 Pkwy. Dr. in Mason, Ohio, has sold for $2.3 million. The property, known as CIN3 Cincinnati Mason, spans about 80,000 square feet. The buyer was Maison Tech.

PARTNERSHIP: Google, Tesla, and Carrier launch Utilize. Google, Tesla, and Carrier have launched Utilize, a new lobbying coalition focused on improving U.S. grid capacity by making better use of existing infrastructure rather than relying only on costly new buildouts. The group, led by executive director Ian Magruder, argues that the grid is designed for short peaks in demand but sits underused most of the time. Colby Hastings of Tesla said these technologies can lower costs and improve reliability, while Ellen Zuckerman of Google said the goal is to meet rising electricity demand without raising costs for existing customers.

DEVELOPMENT: Data center could come to Pennsylvania. A proposed project called Smithfield Gateway could bring two 250,000-SF data centers to Smithfield Township near Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on land south of Music Center Drive and north of Smithfield Lane. The project was discussed by the Smithfield Township Planning Commission in mid-February, and application documents link the plan to Legend Properties, though no end user has been identified.

REVENUE: Hyperscale Data forecasts $180-$200 million revenue in 2026. Hyperscale Data expects fiscal 2026 revenue to reach a record $180 million to $200 million, implying roughly 80% to 100% growth from preliminary 2025 revenue of about $100 million. Milton “Todd” Ault III said 2026 will be an important year for the company as prior investments begin scaling revenue, and Will Horne said rising AI compute demand and expansion in higher-margin business lines should support both growth and margin improvement.
