FINANCING: Nexus nears $15 billion financing for Texas data center. Nexus Data Centers is reportedly in final-stage talks to secure $15 billion in financing for a new AI data center campus and 1.6-gigawatt natural gas power plant in Hubbard, Texas, with a bank group led by Morgan Stanley providing the debt. Google is backing the project by guaranteeing billions of dollars of Anthropic’s lease and power obligations and is expected to receive about a 20 percent equity stake in the data center and power project.

PEOPLE MOVES: Equinix appoints new Chief Product Officer and EVP of Global Markets. Equinix has appointed Chris Audie as chief product officer and Bruce Owen as executive vice president of global markets, with both reporting to CEO and President Adaire Fox-Martin.

PEOPLE MOVES: CyrusOne appoints new Chief Executive Officer. CyrusOne has appointed John Hatem as chief executive officer and a member of the company’s board, succeeding Eric Schwartz as part of a planned leadership transition. Hatem joined CyrusOne in 2011 and most recently served as president, overseeing global sales, procurement, and U.S. design, engineering and construction.
