NEWS ROUNDUP

FINANCING: Williams secures $5.34 billion for five projects. Williams has secured $5.34 billion in committed capital from funds managed by Blackstone Credit & Insurance, alongside Apollo and insurance vehicles and accounts managed by KKR, to support five behind-the-meter Power Innovation projects. The investor group will receive a 49 percent noncontrolling stake in Socrates, Apollo, Aquila, Socrates the Younger, and Neo, while Williams will retain 51 percent ownership and maintain commercial and operational control.

DEVELOPMENT: Meta expands campus in Louisiana. Meta has significantly expanded plans for its Hyperion data center campus in Richland Parish, Louisiana, increasing the project from an originally announced 2GW, $10 billion development to a 5GW campus expected to bring more than $50 billion of investment to the region. Meta said the campus should reach 2GW by 2030, while Blue Owl Capital reportedly owns an 80% stake in the project and has helped secure funding for construction.

DEVELOPMENT: CleanSpark signs 20-year lease worth $6.6 billion. CleanSpark has signed a 20-year triple-net infrastructure lease with an unnamed high-investment-grade global technology company for its Sandersville, Georgia, campus, with two additional five-year extension options. The initial term is expected to generate about $6.6 billion in contracted revenue, rising to $11.6 billion if both extensions are exercised. Matt Schultz, CEO and chairman of CleanSpark, said the agreement marks the company’s transformation into a diversified digital infrastructure platform and validates its strategy of securing land and power before monetizing those assets at institutional scale.

DEVELOPMENT: Marietta pauses data center conversion proposal. Prime Group Holdings’ proposal to convert part of its self-storage facility in Marietta, Georgia, into an 18-megawatt data center has been delayed after local residents raised concerns about noise, environmental effects, and property values.
