NEWS ROUNDUP

DEVELOPMENT: Crow Holdings and CleanArc plan 245MW campus in Dallas. Crow Holdings has announced plans for a 245MW turnkey data center campus on roughly 40 acres in Dallas, with CleanArc Data Centers engaged to co-develop and lease the project. The first phase is a 70MW building targeted for delivery in late 2027. Michael Levy, CEO of Crow Holdings, said the partnership pairs Crow’s long-held conviction in the corridor’s connectivity with CleanArc’s digital infrastructure platform. Jim Trout, Founder and CEO of CleanArc Data Centers, said the site’s network density and secured power create a scalable solution for hyperscale and AI customers, while Kevin McMeans, Managing Director at Crow Holdings, is leading the project as design and substation planning move forward alongside long-lead equipment procurement.

EXPANSION: Vector Data Centers launches with 24GW pipeline. Vector Data Centers launched in December with a powered-land style model aimed at hyperscale customers, saying it controls roughly 10,000 acres across 12 US locations and has more than 24GW of power in its pipeline. Vector is founded and led by Jose Ruiz, formerly of Digital Realty, Compass Datacenters, Equinix, and most recently Stream Data Centers. He is joined by Irene Di Martino as chief energy infrastructure officer and Paul Ezekiel, formerly of Amp, as chief investment officer.

DEVELOPMENT: Galaxy Digital secures approval to expand Texas data center. Galaxy Digital has received approval to expand its Helios data center in Texas to more than 1.6GW of capacity, strengthening the company’s computational footprint and positioning the campus to support future AI workloads alongside crypto operations. CEO Michael Novogratz said he is optimistic that U.S. cryptocurrency market regulation legislation could pass within weeks, citing bipartisan momentum in Washington.

ENERGY: DTE accepts conditions to supply power for proposed 1.4GW data center. DTE Energy accepted conditions set by the Michigan Public Service Commission for special power contracts tied to a proposed OpenAI and Oracle data center in Saline Township. The facility is described as a 1.4GW project—potentially Michigan’s largest—and would consume more electricity than 1 million homes.
