DEVELOPMENT: Nebius plans 2.5M-SF campus outside Kansas City. Nebius is planning a large-scale data center development outside Kansas City, proposing a 2.5 million-square-foot campus in Independence, Missouri. The project could include up to 10 buildings across roughly 400 acres and is expected to require at least 800MW of power. The initial 250MW power phase is targeted for completion by October 2027, with expansion potential to roughly 1.1GW by 2029. Construction could begin this year, with the first phase of the campus launching in 2028.

DEVELOPMENT: Avaio Digital commits $6 billion to Arkansas data center. Avaio Digital Partners plans to invest $6 billion to build a large-scale data center outside Little Rock, Arkansas. The facility will be developed on a 760-acre site and is expected to create more than 500 permanent jobs by 2031, with construction on Phase I set to begin this quarter and operations targeted for June 2027.

DEVELOPMENT: 330MW campus proposed in California. Imperial Valley Computer Manufacturing is proposing a 950,000-square-foot, 330MW data center campus in Imperial, California. The project would include a single-story data center, a 330MW emergency backup generator facility, an on-site substation, and an 862MWh battery energy storage system using 220 Tesla Megapack 2XL units. The project could be operational as early as January 2027. Sebastian Rucci, founder and CEO of Imperial Valley Computer Manufacturing, is leading the project.

DEVELOPMENT: Amazon plans $88 million expansion in Texas. Amazon is planning an $88 million expansion of one of its data center campuses on San Antonio’s West Side. The expansion targets Amazon Web Services’ ALE063 data center, built in 2021 and located adjacent to the National Security Agency Texas Cryptologic Center, with construction expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026 and delivery by the end of 2027.
