Jacobs is providing engineering, procurement and construction management, alongside infrastructure partner Vertiv. J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs will underwrite project-level financing covering up to 85% of costs. Hut 8 has secured 330 MW from Entergy Louisiana, with capacity to scale by 1,000+ MW, positioning River Bend among the world’s largest data center developments at full buildout. Jacobs CEO Bob Pragada said the firm’s data center pipeline has grown fivefold, calling the project a potential “benchmark for AI infrastructure.”

DEVELOPMENT: EdgeConneX to build $1.4 billion campus in Texas. EdgeConneX is moving forward with a $440 million, 578,000-SF data center in Cedar Creek, Texas, the first phase of a planned four-building, $1.4 billion campus on roughly 130 acres in Bastrop County. The two-story facility is scheduled to complete in June 2026.
