EXPANSION: Dominari announces expansion into the US data center market. Dominari has announced the launch of American Data Centers (ADC), an independent company focused on high-performance computing infrastructure. ADC’s members include Dominari, Donald J. Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and other industry professionals in the AI space. Kyle Wool, President of Dominari Holdings, highlighted the rapid expansion of demand for cloud computing, AI-driven applications, cryptocurrency mining, and enterprise data storage. Through ADC, the company aims to develop a portfolio of energy-efficient data centers in key U.S. markets, strengthening America’s AI infrastructure.

DEVELOPMENT: Avangrid to build six power projects. Avangrid, the U.S. subsidiary of Spanish energy giant Iberdrola, is set to develop six new power projects totaling 800MW to support the surging energy demand from data centers. The projects are either under construction or slated to break ground in the coming months. Pedro Azagra, CEO of Avangrid, emphasized the company’s strategic positioning, highlighting its extensive 24-state energy portfolio and over 25GW pipeline.

DEVELOPMENT: Iron Mountain acquires 66 acres, plans data center. Iron Mountain has acquired a 66-acre site in Henrico, Virginia, for the development of a major data center campus. Mark Kidd, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Asset Lifecycle Management and Data Centers at Iron Mountain, highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering top-tier solutions while fostering strong community ties.

DEVELOPMENT: Amazon requests permit for 11-building campus. Amazon has officially filed for permits for its Mattermeade data center project, a massive development spanning Caroline and Spotsylvania Counties in Virginia. The proposed data center campus will occupy a 1,143-acre site southeast of the intersection of Interstate 95 and Mudd Tavern Road, featuring 11 two-story data center buildings and one office building. According to an application submitted to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Amazon Data Services is seeking both federal and state permits to proceed with the construction. The project will follow Amazon’s standardized data center designs, which the company argues maximize efficiency and space utilization.

DEVELOPMENT: Vantage asks to rezone 618 acres for data center development. Vantage Data Centers has submitted a request to rezone 618 acres of farmland in Pittsboro, Indiana, for a major data center development. The company is seeking to reclassify the Smith Family Farms land as "warehouse industrial," with plans to use 285 acres for data center construction. The intended use for the remaining land has not yet been disclosed.
