NEWS ROUNDUP

DEVELOPMENT: Google unveils $40B Texas plan. Google will invest $40 billion in Texas through 2027 to build three new AI data center campuses. CEO Sundar Pichai said Texas offers the right mix of energy and workforce for next-generation computing.

DEVELOPMENT: OpenAI-Oracle Michigan data center advances. Related is moving forward with plans for a 2.2-million-SF data center in Saline Township, Michigan, to serve OpenAI and Oracle.

DEVELOPMENT: Air Products plans Upper Macungie data center. Upper Macungie Township officials are reviewing plans to build a 2.6 million sq. ft. data center on the former Air Products headquarters site on Hamilton Boulevard. The site, owned by Air Products, spans 194 acres and was previously slated for warehouses.

MARKET: Equinix valuation debate. Equinix shares are down 16.8% in 2025 amid rising interest rates and increased competition in the data center sector. Analyst suggest the stock is undervalued.
