DEVELOPMENT: Archbald I files plans for two campuses totaling 3.3M SF. Archbald I has submitted zoning applications to develop two large-scale data center campuses in Archbald, Pennsylvania, totaling 3.3 million square feet across 22 buildings. Each proposed data center would be approximately 150,000 sq ft. The identity of the company behind Archbald I remains undisclosed.

DEVELOPMENT: Microsoft flags local opposition. Microsoft has alerted investors to potential delays in its data center build-out due to local opposition, moratoriums, and hyper-local dissent. The company disclosed these risks in a recent earnings filing, noting that community pushback could impede infrastructure development.

ENERGY: Google secures first carbon capture power deal. Google has partnered with Broadwing Energy to develop a natural gas power plant with carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Decatur, Illinois, on Archer Daniels Midland (ADM)’s campus. The facility will generate over 400 megawatts of electricity while capturing up to 90% of CO₂ emissions.

ENERGY: Meta signs two Louisiana solar PPAs with Treaty Oak. Meta has signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Treaty Oak Clean Energy for solar projects in Morehouse Parish and Sabine Parish, Louisiana, with a combined capacity of 385MW. Urvi Parekh, Meta’s Head of Global Energy, said the agreements support clean energy for Meta’s operations while contributing to local grid resilience and economic growth.
