DEVELOPMENT: Amazon to invest $10B in North Carolina. Amazon will invest $10 billion to build a major data center campus in Richmond County, North Carolina, creating at least 500 jobs. The project ranks among the largest investments in state history and includes a 20-year incentive package contingent on job creation. Amazon also plans to fund STEM and workforce training programs through local schools and launch a $150,000 community grant fund.

DEVELOPMENT: CyrusOne plans $500M data center. CyrusOne has proposed a $500 million data center campus on 280 acres in Talkington Township, southwest of Springfield, Illinois — marking the first data center in Sangamon County and one of the largest projects in the county’s history.

ACQUSITION: Cwm boosts stake in Equinix. Cwm increased its holdings in Equinix by 58.2%, acquiring an additional 1,038 shares for a total of 2,822 shares valued at approximately $2.25 million. Equinix recently reported earnings of $9.91 per share, surpassing analysts’ $3.49 estimate, with 4.5% year-over-year revenue growth.

DEVELOPMENT: W Holdings eyes 500-acre data center in Phoenix. W Holdings is seeking to rezone 500 acres in Pinal County, northeast of Maricopa Road and Teel Road, for a potential data center and energy generation campus.
