DEVELOPMENT: Google plans 390-Acre data center. Google is exploring a 390-acre data center campus near Monrovia, Indiana, with up to five buildings planned. The project, approved for rezoning, aims to expand Google’s U.S. data center capacity and bring jobs and investment to the area.

MARKET: Microsoft set to report strong Q1 results. Microsoft will release its fiscal Q1 2026 earnings on Wednesday, with analysts expecting solid growth fueled by AI and cloud demand. Azure revenue is projected to rise 38% to $23B, while total revenue could reach $75.5B. Investors will focus on Microsoft’s infrastructure spending—estimated at up to $125B for the year—as a key signal of continued AI investment momentum.

JOINT VENTURE: Meta partners with Blue Owl Capital. Meta and Blue Owl Capital formed a joint venture to develop the $27B Hyperion data center campus in Louisiana. Blue Owl holds 80% ownership, Meta 20%, providing construction and property management.

WATER: Amazon hid true data center water use. A leaked memo shows Amazon limited disclosure of its data centers’ full water use to avoid reputational risk. The company excluded water used for electricity generation from its “Water Positive” campaign, despite scientists calling this misleading. Amazon said the document is outdated and misrepresents its current strategy.
