ACQUSITION: BlackChamber Group buys 53 acres for $131 million. An affiliate of The BlackChamber Group has acquired 53 acres in Bristow, Virginia. for $131 million, or about $2.49M per acre. The land is zoned light industrial and sits in the county’s Data Center Opportunity Zone Overlay District, allowing data center development by right.

DEVELOPMENT: Balloonist floats $1.6 billion data center plan. A potential $1.6 billion data center project has been proposed in Red Cedar, Wisconsin, by Balloonist, a firm believed to represent a major tech company. Balloonist has indicated construction wouldn’t begin before 2027.

FINANCING: Meta secures $29 billion for Louisiana campus. Meta has locked in $29 billion to fund its planned Hyperion AI data center campus in Richland Parish, Louisiana. The package includes $26B in debt led by Pimco and $3B in equity from Blue Owl Capital, arranged by Morgan Stanley with Pimco leading the debt portion.

FUNDRAISING: JPMorgan, MUFG lead $38 billion debt package for Oracle-linked data centers. JPMorgan Chase and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) are arranging a $38B debt package to finance Oracle-connected data centers in Texas and Wisconsin. Banks had already committed $23B for the Shackelford County, Texas campus, while additional funding would support a Port Washington, Wis. site. Both campuses are being developed by Vantage Data Centers for Oracle, which will lease capacity to OpenAI.
