DISPOSITION: Principal Asset sells Alpharetta data center for 300% gain. Principal Asset Management has sold the Ascent Data Center in Alpharetta, Georgia, for $253 million, nearly quadrupling its 2022 purchase price of $63.6 million. The facility, acquired in partnership with Lincoln Rackhouse, underwent significant upgrades that boosted power capacity from 4.05 MW to 15.2 MW. The facility serves a Fortune 100 financial services firm and a high-performance computing company, and sits on land with room for future expansion. Principal’s Devin Chen credited the firm’s data-driven strategy and value-add capabilities for the outsized return.

ENERGY: Meta expands Texas solar projects. Meta has signed new power purchase agreements (PPAs) with ENGIE North America, bringing their total solar partnership to over 1.3 gigawatts (GW) across four Texas-based projects. Meta will procure 100% of Swenson’s output to power its U.S. data centers. ENGIE CEO Dave Carroll emphasized the project’s importance in delivering timely, cost-effective renewable energy, while Meta’s global head of energy Urvi Parekh reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sourcing 100% renewable energy for its data center operations.

ENERGY: Google to restart Iowa nuclear plant for AI power. Google and NextEra Energy will restart the Duane Arnold nuclear plant in Iowa by 2029 to supply clean power for Google’s growing AI and cloud operations, under a 25-year energy deal.

MARKET: CBRE Q3 2025 revenue up 14% on data center. CBRE reported strong Q3 2025 results with revenue up 14% to $10.3B and GAAP EPS up 66% to $1.21. Growth was driven by data centers, industrial, and office sectors, with Advisory Services up 17% globally and Building Operations & Experience revenue up 13%, supported by facilities management and property management gains.
