DEVELOPMENT: Doña Ana County approves $165 billion data center Doña Ana County has approved the issuance of up to $165 billion in industrial revenue bonds for Project Jupiter, a large-scale AI data center in Santa Teresa led by Borderplex Digital Assets.

DEVELOPMENT: Vantage project moves forward amid water concerns. The Port Washington Common Council has awarded a $6 million contract to extend water and sewer lines for an $8 billion, 2,000-acre data center campus to be built by Vantage Data Centers.

DEVELOPMENT: Jefferson County Commissioner opposes Bessemer data center over Beltline conflict Jefferson County Commission President Jimmie Stephens has renewed opposition to a proposed 4.5 million-square-foot data center on Rock Mountain Lakes Road near McCalla, arguing it could interfere with plans for the Northern Beltline’s southern interchange.

ENERGY: DOE issues RFP for AI data centers, energy projects at Oak Ridge. The U.S. Department of Energy has released a Request for Proposal seeking companies to build and power AI data centers at the Oak Ridge Reservation in Tennessee.
