DEVELOPMENT: Google data center project faces pivotal vote in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis City-County Council is preparing for a decisive vote that will determine the fate of Google’s proposed $1 billion, 467-acre hyperscale data center on the city’s southeast side.

DEVELOPMENT: Rowan Digital to build $700 million data center in Temple. The Temple City Council has unanimously approved Rowan Digital’s plans to develop a $700 million hyperscale data center campus in south Temple, Texas. John Howe, Chairman of the Board for Temple EDC, said the project underscores Temple’s growing appeal to major technology investors.

DEVELOPMENT: CyrusOne proposes second data center campus in Yorkville. CyrusOne has submitted plans for a second data center campus in Yorkville, Illinois, on the east side of Beecher Road. The proposed 128-acre site would include three data center buildings totaling 740,000 square feet, along with an electrical substation and a detention basin. The company is seeking annexation into the city, rezoning from agricultural to manufacturing use, and site plan approval.

ACQUSITION: Centersquare acquires 10 data centers in $1 Billion deal. Centersquare, a Brookfield-owned data center operator, has acquired 10 data centers across the United States and Canada in a $1 billion transaction funded entirely with cash on hand. CEO Spencer Mullee said the acquisitions strengthen the company’s position to meet rising demand for high-performance digital infrastructure. Udhay Mathialagan, CEO of Brookfield Global Data Centers, noted that the deal builds on the firm’s operational growth and cost efficiency, enabling further strategic expansion.
