M&A: Apollo acquires majority stake in Stream Data Centers. Apollo has agreed to acquire a majority interest in Stream Data Centers (SDC) from Stream Realty Partners, with plans to invest billions into digital infrastructure. SDC, which has developed over 20 data center campuses and controls 4 GW of powered land, will retain its management team with a minority stake. Apollo and SDC will jointly commit new capital to develop 650 MW of near-term capacity across campuses in Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas.

DEVELOPMENT: Google confirms multi-billion-dollar campus in West Memphis. Google has confirmed plans for a massive data center campus in West Memphis, Arkansas, marking a multi-billion-dollar investment spanning over 1,000 acres. Laurel Brown, Google’s regional head of data center public affairs, announced the project and its partnership with utility company Entergy.

DEVELOPMENT: DPO launches Greenlight to build AI-ready data centers in the US. Digital Power Optimization (DPO) has launched Greenlight Data Centers, a new platform focused on developing 20–100MW AI-ready facilities across the central U.S., with target areas including near Oklahoma City, Kansas City, and Memphis. CEO Alex Stoewer, also DPO co-founder, emphasized rapid, power-first deployment using modular builds and excess grid capacity. Andrew Webber, CEO of DPO and Chairman of Greenlight, noted the firm’s track record of siting data centers at overlooked locations since 2020.

DEVELOPMENT: $1 billion Hamilton data center in the works. Logistix Property Group is planning the Hamilton Innovation Center, a hyperscale data center in Hamilton, Ohio that could exceed $1 billion in total investment. Developer Doug Swain, founder and president of Logistix claimed the project will target 200+ MW—more than double the original 80MW plan—on a 29.2-acre city-owned site at 1380 University Boulevard. At full buildout, it could be one of the largest data centers in Ohio, creating 100+ high-paying jobs. Construction could begin as early as 2026.
